Funding opportunities for the expansion of access to treatment for substance use disorders


 

The California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS), in partnership with Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP), is pleased to announce that the Request for Applications (RFA) for funding California Youth Opioid Response (YOR California) projects has been released. YOR California is specifically designed to strengthen capacity for and access to prevention, treatment, and recovery services, as well as access points to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as indicated, for youth (ages 12–24) and their families. These subgrants are also designed to foster the coordination and strengthening of existing multi-system organizations and encourage the development of new partnerships between agencies that touch youth.

Rural Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant

The distance learning and telemedicine program provides financial assistance to enable and improve distance learning and telemedicine services in rural areas. Grants ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 will support the use of telecommunications-enabled information, audio and video equipment, and related advanced technologies by students, teachers, medical professionals, and rural residents. They are intended to increase rural access to education, training, and health care resources that are otherwise unavailable or limited in scope.
